How much do the apartments cost? Rental fees are fixed by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Affairs (HUD). The amount an person pays is generally based upon a resident's income, within a minimum and maximum range. Some HUD subsidies are available allowing residents to pay only 30% of their income. A security deposit is required when a resident moves in. The money is placed in an individual interest-bearing account and is returned according to the rules of the rental agreement. Is there a waiting list? There are immediate openings for Studio apartments and a short waiting list for all one-bedroom apartments. However, prospective residents are encouraged to file an application in order to be placed on the waiting list. How do I apply for an apartment?
